🏹 Another Busy Week for PSCAC! 🏹
It’s been another action-packed week for members of Prestwick St Cuthbert Archery Club, with archers competing across the country and plenty of fantastic results to celebrate! 🎯👏
🌟 Youth Festival Success for Olivia 🌟
A huge congratulations to Olivia, who had a fantastic Youth Festival, coming away with three medals! 🥉🥇🥉
🥉 Bronze – Home Nations Team with Cairn
🥇 Gold – Women’s Team Round
🥉 Bronze – Individual
A fantastic achievement and a great reward for all the hard work and dedication Olivia has been putting into her shooting! 👏🏹
🎯 Wigan & Orrell Archers WA720 & H2H
We also had three PSCAC archers competing at the Wigan & Orrell Archers WA720 and H2H, with Laura shooting Recurve competing in U21 and compounders Craig and Alastair taking on the 50+ and Senior categories respectively.
💪 Laura had an extremely challenging day, dealing with both equipment and form issues. However, she showed great determination and resilience to keep battling through.
A massive thank you to the archery hive mind around her for the help, advice and encouragement throughout the day — and a special shout-out to Charlotte and Maree for her fantastic support and for looking after Laura. ❤️
Despite everything she had to overcome, Laura finished 🥇 Gold in U21 Recurve , ranking 5th overall — an outstanding result given the challenges she faced!
🏆 Craig also battled through a tough shoot and came away with 🥈 Silver in 50+, finishing 2nd in his category and 10th overall. Another fantastic result!
📈 Alastair continues to see his qualification scores improve throughout the season, showing some really positive progress. Unfortunately, he was unlucky in a closely fought H2H, but there are plenty of positives to take forward.
It was also brilliant to catch up with our good friends at Unstrung Archery, who continue to provide fantastic support to archers across the country. Always great to see you! 👋🏹
A huge thank you to the field party and organisers for the smooth running of the event and, of course, for the unexpected but very welcome appearance of the ice cream van! 🍦😂
