CayrFest

🏹 What a fantastic day at CayrFest! 🎯

Prestwick St Cuthbert Archery Club was delighted to be part of today’s Care Ayr event at Riverside Sports Arena, helping introduce hundreds of people to the fun of archery!

We had Soft Archery for the under-8s and a full range set up for our over-8s, giving everyone the chance to have a go in a safe and welcoming environment.

It was brilliant to see so many people picking up a bow for the first time! Others were drawing on memories of archery with the Guides, experiences at Dolphin House Outdoor Centre, and we even welcomed a few former archers back to the sport. Who knows how many we might have inspired to take up archery again! 😊

We certainly clocked up THOUSANDS of steps today β€” proof of just how busy and successful the event was! πŸ‘£πŸ˜‚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, tried archery and helped make the day such a success. And a special thank you to our fantastic club members who gave up their time to set up, support participants and represent the club so brilliantly. πŸ’™

Events like this are a great reminder of what community sport is all about: having fun, trying something new and making archery accessible to everyone.

Inspire Session 3

🏹🎯 Inspire Session 3 – Progress, Challenges & Plenty of Laughs! πŸ˜„

Another great Inspire session today at Prestwick St Cuthbert Archery Club!

Our participants worked on their form, took on new challenges and, most importantly, had fun! πŸ’ͺ🏹

Of course, as every archer knows, you get good days and bad days – not every arrow goes where you want it to! 🎯 But that’s all part of the journey, and there were still plenty of laughs, smiles and achievements along the way. πŸ™Œ

πŸŽƒ Next session: Halloween! πŸ‘»

I have a feeling we might be in for a few tricks, treats and surprises… watch this space! πŸ•·οΈπŸΉ

Weekend News

🏹 Weekend News! 🏹

It’s been a busy weekend at the club, with a bit of everything going on β€” training, competitions, equipment set-up and plenty of laughs!

πŸ† Scottish Tour – Stage 3
Barebow archers Craig and Paul travelled to Elgin to compete in Stage 3 of the Scottish Tour, finishing 7th and 8th respectively. Associate member Lawrence also had a strong result, finishing 9th in a very competitive Barebow field. πŸ‘

🎯 Back at the club, members were busy training at a variety of distances as they prepare for a range of upcoming competitions.

πŸ†• New member Dylan was also getting some coaching support with his new equipment. He’s taking things steadily, working on building his strength and gradually increasing his draw weight. Great progress! πŸ’ͺ

πŸ˜‚ And then there was Laura, who discovered that being vertically challenged can be an issue when there’s a rogue arrow stuck high on the boss! She also teamed up with her partner-in-crime Olivia for some core work. πŸ’ͺ🏹

Great to see our members supporting each other, working hard, learning new skills β€” and, of course, having a good laugh along the way!

That’s what club life is all about! ❀️🏹
