🏹 A rewarding weekend of learning and development! 🏹
Club members Aimee and Craig recently attended a Disability Coaching Weekend, focused on making archery more accessible and inclusive for disabled individuals and groups interested in trying our sport.
Throughout the weekend, they explored a variety of ways to adapt equipment and coaching practices to support disabled archers. There was plenty of hands-on learning, problem-solving, and a fair bit of trial and error while creating and testing adaptive equipment—but the results were incredibly rewarding! 💡🎯
A huge thank you to Archery GB coaches Nat and Phil for delivering such an informative and engaging course on behalf of Scottish Archery.
We’d also like to thank Fletchers Trust for their support in making the course possible.
We’re looking forward to putting what we’ve learned into practice and helping make archery accessible to everyone! 💙🏹
Back at the club the final Come and Try session took place. Many thanks again the club volunteers supporting these sessions.
