The course is an approved Archery GB beginners course and, as such is open to any and all ages however we do have a minimum age of eight years old and upwards.
For learners under 14 years old we insist an adult also takes part in the beginners course to they are fully aware of the safety precautions and techniques required to conduct archery safely. In addition, any junior under the age of 18 must always have a parent/guardian who is fully aware of range safety in attendance for the duration of any archery session.
What is covered iin the course
- an understanding of the basic skills of shooting;
- basic technique, safety and etiquette to the level required to join an archery club;
- the ability to shoot a recurve bow with reasonable confidence and skill;
- you will also have been introduced to other types of bows (traditional longbow, compound bow and others); and
- a certificate providing proof that you have completed a Beginners’ Course and safe to shoot in a club environment. This certificate can be used to join any archery club
How much does the course cost?
£75 per person. Payment must be paid by bank transfer on confirmation of an allocated space.
The fee includes all equipment and 3 2hour sessions.
